Eileen Elizabeth Garcia

Eileen Garcia 60, of Monte Vista, CO, departed this earth to be with the Lord August 13, 2021. She was born in Aztec, NM, July 19, 1961, to Juan and Tonita Garcia.

Eileen grew up in Center CO, where she was a Head-Start Teacher for many years. Teaching was one of her greatest passions. Later in life she moved to Pueblo CO, a place where her beauty shined, and her character began to blossom. She reunited with the love of her life Sam Martinez, and they would spend about 20 years loving each other...in their own special way. During them years she met many people who she called family. Many in which she left a lasting impression upon their lives. During her last few months, it became her dream for her and her baby girl Ginger, to relocate to New Mexico. She made it come true and she loved every moment she was there. Just as she started to fulfill this dream the passing of her oldest daughter Jolene, brought her back to Colorado. We are exceedingly blessed to always have her in our life. The ones who knew her best would say, “she was a strong fighter who always pushed thru any struggle she had”. Although she was outspoken, she loved hard. Her heart was made of gold, her spicy sassiness will always be remembered. She enjoyed spending time with family, having BBQs, baking for holidays, planting a garden in the spring, and driving around listening to music and talking about the good ol’ days. She loved her music and to dance. Her memories are everlasting and will be missed by those she touched.

Eileen is survived by her sons; Floyd Garcia, Andrew Villapando, her daughter; Angelica Garcia, daughter in-law; Candida Salazar and favorite sonsies; Michael and Dominic Garcia all of center.
