Manuel Enriquez-Robles (77) of Center Colorado passed away June 1st, 2023, after a short battle with cancer, he passed away surrounded by family. Manuel was born to Encarnacion Enriquez and Maria de Jesus Robles on December 31st, 1945, in Chihuahua Mexico. Manuel is survived by his wife Maria “Chata” Enriquez and children Guillermo Romero, Erica Enriquez, and Alex (Crystal) Enriquez, grandchildren Eric and Noelani Segura, Jaylen, Gisselle and Janeysi Enriquez as well as godsons Eidy (Edith) Guaderrama, Cristian (Salma) Guaderrama and Ivan Guaderrama which he loved as his own. Manuel is predeceased by his parents Encarnacion and Maria de Jesus, his brother Raul, his sisters Eva, and Esperanza, as well as his granddaughter Adriana Segura. Manuel is considered a legend in the trucking community as M. Enriquez Trucking was one of the first independent trucking companies to operate in the San Luis Valley. Manuel will always be remembered for his love and passion for trucking and the open road. Aside from trucking, Manuel will always be remembered as a great father, grandfather, friend, and role model to many. His great sense of humor, his orneriness, his positiveness, his strength, loyalty, and his big loving heart will be something that many of us will always carry with us as we remember him. His willingness to help others, another of his many great attributes, will always be remembered as well. Manuel’s family will host a viewing on Friday June 9, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Strohmayer’s Funeral Home in Monte Vista, Colorado. Rosary Services will be Friday June 9, 2023, at 6:00pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday June 10, 2023, at 10:00am, both at the St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center Colorado. A funeral procession will follow to the Monte Vista Cemetery in Monte Vista, Colorado. Manuel was loved and looked upon by many of his close colleagues and friends in the trucking community.
